If you can live without GUI, I suggest to use Gammu. It supports almost everything as KAlcatel/Alcasync, many bugs were fixed there and should work with OT 501/701/715/535/735 phones. Probably best place to download Gammu is mirror on this server.

After quite a long time new news: 1. Soon there will be new release with some bugfixes and new features (deleting items), but probably without KDE 3 compatibility. 2. I started to work on integrating Alactel support into Gammu. Currently anything using AT commands should work and I work on the alcatel specific features. Because of this alcasync and KAlcatel projects will probably not continue (I plan porting majority of KAlcatel to use Gammu as backend).
